Duncan Kelbley is both a Filmmaker and a Music Composer. His extensive filmmaking experience includes working with 35mm film as the production’s cinematographer. This privilege was achieved during his time at FAMU international, the fifth oldest film institute in the world, located in Prague. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in Film in 2021.
Since then, he has written, directed, shot, and edited a range of short films, including commercial works. These commercials represented multi-million-dollar penthouses in New York City, and prestigious handmade whiskies of Upstate New York. These works have been featured on NBC, CBS, and The CW with well over 2,000,000 views. Aside from making films, Duncan also works as a musician, having toured Europe twice as part of the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony. His interests in music composition began before his days at Syracuse University, and he focused part of earning his degree on composition instruction. He now writes original music for all of his productions.
